In the Survey’s Advanced Options, you can include a macro trigger (always or conditionally) as the form is submitted. Further, this macro trigger may take place during the Notice Chain and will then reevaluate the submitter’s Notices possibly displaying new or incomplete Notices they subsequently qualify for.

To configure this new macro trigger on a User Profile:

  1. Click on Community Tools on the left hand menu
  2. Click Configuration
  3. Click User Profiles
  4. Mouse over the profile that will trigger the macro when submitted
  5. Click the Modify (pencil) button
  6. Expand the Advanced Options menu
  7. Check the Run Macro on Submit box
  8. Choose Conditional or Static from the Macro Type drop down
    a. Conditional allows you to add a filter and select different True/False options
    b. Static will run each time with no filter
  9.  Select the desired option from the Macro drop-down

This functionality is particularly useful for time-sensitive automation - automatically adjusting a tester’s access based on their survey responses, adding Project or Community Scores for completing or updating a Profile or optional Survey, and much more. Since this feature leverages User Macros, the sky's the limit - adjust teams, add or remove scores, send email notifications, provide incentives, or even trigger an API integration via Webhook!
