Project Dashboard Filters can be useful to narrow down the list of projects represented on the resultant Project Dashboard. Use filters to focus on certain metrics or consideration requirements (ex: date made active, number of participants, quantity of feedback, etc.) for your report.

Create Project Dashboard Filter:

From the Community Homepage:

  1. Click the Project Dashboards link in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the New link to the right of the Filter drop-down menu.
  3. Select the desired Data Set, Item, Default Qualifier, and optionally a Default Value.
  4. Click the Add To Filter button at the bottom of the Available Filter Items section.
  5. Repeat steps 3 - 4 until all desired Filter criteria have been added to the Filter.
  6. Complete any other desired Filter options. (Note you have the option to save the filter with a name for later use.)
  7. Click the Create Filter button at the bottom of the page.

You have successfully created a Project Dashboard Filter.

Modify Project Dashboard Filter:

From the Community Homepage:

  1. Click the Project Dashboards link in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select the desired Filter from the Filter drop-down menu.
  3. Click the Modify link to the right of the Filter drop-down menu.
  4. Modify the existing Filter as desired.
  5. Click the Update Filter button at the bottom of the page.

You have successfully modified a Project Dashboard Filter.

Remove Project Dashboard Filter:

From the Community Homepage:

  1. Click the Project Dashboards link in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select the desired Filter from the Filter drop-down menu.
  3. Click the Modify link to the right of the Filter drop-down menu.
  4. Click the Remove Filter button on the bottom right side of the page.

You have successfully removed a Project Dashboard Filter.

Notes

  • Project Dashboards allow the Project Manager to generate an overview of data across the various Projects in their site. Filtering on these Projects can narrow the data to the specific Projects that you are interested in.
