In Centercode, you can automate Macros at the Community level as well as the Project level using what we call Macro Scheduling.

Create Macro Schedule:

From the Community Homepage:

  1. Click the Community Tools link in the left-hand menu
  2. Click the Users link in the left-hand menu
  3. Click the User Automation button at the bottom of the page
  4. Click the Create A Macro Schedule button next to Scheduled User Macros
  5. Give the Macro Schedule a Name, Macro, Filter, Rate, and Time, as well as any optional details you desire
  6. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page to confirm

You have successfully created a Community Macro Schedule.

Modify Macro Schedule:

From the Community Homepage:

  1. Click the Community Tools link in the left-hand menu
  2. Click the Users link in the left-hand menu
  3. Click the User Automation button at the bottom of the page
  4. Click the table cell of the desired Macro Schedule
  5. Make any desired changes to the Macro Schedule
  6. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page when satisfied

You have successfully modified a Community Macro Schedule.

Remove Macro Schedule:

From the Community Homepage:

  1. Click the Community Tools link in the left-hand menu
  2. Click the Users link in the left-hand menu
  3. Click the User Automation button at the bottom of the page
  4. Hover over the desired Macro Schedule
  5. Click the Remove (X) button
  6. Click Yes to confirm the removal

You have successfully removed a Community Macro Schedule.

Notes

  • Macro Schedules should be set up to execute during off hours whenever possible, as they can impact site performance. This is especially true when executing many Macro Schedules and or Report Distributions at similar times. For this reason, staggering the Macro Schedule execution times is useful for performance as well.
